It was far too long to recall

At a point I almost gave up
Deciding that it wasn’t worth at all

A month later it hit me
How I was behaving
Blinded by my own selfishness

I understood without a doubt

You had a lot on your plate
It kept you not only from me but others too
And if I was half as good a brother as I claimed
I should be understanding and supporting you

One day when I least expected
I received a phone call
“Hey bro wanna meet up?”
It was then that I realized

It does not matter how rarely we meet

I know I will never lose her friendship
And I was wrong in feeling that way at all

A firm stance as such is clearly impossible

My wisdom tooth is relatively small, which probably allowed for a much easier extraction. I reckon I took it out in good time. My mouth is still sore but it is not the throbbing kind of pain that I was anticipating.

The best part about the whole experience? When the doctor said “Alright, you are going to hear some cracking sounds” as he was meddling around inside my mouth. And moments later I hear the unmistakable *crack*. No, really, the best part was when the receptionist asked me how many days of medical leave I wanted. I made the number seven gesture with my hand and my mother, who I briefed at home prior to the visit, requested that the medical leave start from today (22/01/09). I wanted it to start today so that I get an extra day next week after the Chinese New Year holidays. I officially return to work on Thursday (29/01/09). Am I good, or am I good? Thank you!

Tomorrow is the day I step into the dentist’s chair and get my one and only wisdom tooth extracted. I cannot help but feel fear for the procedure. It isn’t as if I’m jumping up and down and losing valuable sleep over this, but I cannot help imagining how it will turn out, sitting in the chair with various instruments stuck in my mouth. What a scene to picture.

I have asked around and the answer I get is quite similar. The process takes no more then half an hour and it is only the after-effect of which you will feel sore. The anesthesia keeps you quite numb during the entire procedure.

If there is one thing I have learned over the last two years, it is that mind is very much stronger over matter. At least, we have the power to make it so. The ability to convince yourself otherwise from what you are actually feeling is crucial. It can really get you going when things get tough or crush you when you need that “edge” the most.

Never wanting to leave this place
Forever in awe of her spectacularity
Feeling more alive then ever
The mind experiencing true clarity

The wonders are far yet near
Distance is nothing but subjection
Sitting alone with no fear
With peace and love the only intention

Now time has come to leave
The will does not exist
Perhaps a return will occur
Such sweet serenity will be missed
